Join WriteFest – Our Exclusive BoomWriter Launch Competition!
To celebrate the launch of BoomWriter, we’re inviting all BoomReader schools to participate in WriteFest, a nationwide writing competition this June! Students across the UK and beyond will collaborate to create an original book, with the best chapters selected through an exciting peer-review process.
How to sign up my class?

Login to boomreader/boomwriter.

From the BoomHub homepage, click Sign Up under the new WriteFest banner.

Select the classes you wish to take part in WriteFest.

​You will be able to make changes up until entries close on the 13th June

​Visit the BoomWriter website to stay up to date.

* Please note, for this WriteFest, children will have to use the story starter for their year group. For future writing competitions, staff will be able to choose from a range of story starters suitable for the ability of their writers.
​How Does WriteFest Work?

Our team will select a professionally crafted story starter, including contributions from renowned children's authors.

Each student writes their own version of the next chapter within the BoomWriter platform.

Our team will manage the anonymous voting process where students rate submissions based on set criteria.

'Starcasting' - The top-voted chapters build the final story, leading to a fully personalised digital book!

The process repeats each week through WriteFest - read, write, vote.

The Winning students will be celebrated in a digital book. Lots of prizes on offer for our winning authors.
